Reminder: Today is the final day to register for this year's Bishop's Seminarian Education Dinner. The annual event helps raise much needed funding to pay tuition and other costs for each of the Diocese's 17 men in priestly formation.

Faithful from around the region are making plans to visit St. Louis, Mo. later this summer as Venerable Fulton J. Sheen is beatified by the Catholic Church. St. Bernard of Clairvaux in Tulsa is planning a pilgrimage (

The Mass for the Beatification of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen will be held in downtown St. Louis on Thursday, Sept. 24, with Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle presiding. An excellent historical resource on Venerable Fulton Sheen was authored by Tulsa historian Dr. Cheryl C. D. Hughes (aka Cherie Hughes). Her biography,
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen: Convert Maker, was released last year. Dr. Hughes teaches humanities and religious studies at Tulsa Community College and is a parishioner at Holy Family Cathedral. More information about her book can be found by
